Essence of Autumn

Autumn is my favorite season.  Each year I look forward to the air turning crisp, the crunch beneath my feet and, of course, the beautiful colors.  In Tennessee we have the most wonderful colors in October and November as our state has the greatest variety of deciduous trees in the nation.  Unfortunately, that also makes TN one of the worst states for those who suffer from allergies.  And it's also time for football ~ high school, college, pro ..... football is iconic in the south. We make tailgating  - an art, BBQ and chili - a tradition, and frozen toes and noses - a badge of honor.  There is nothing quite like fall in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. Is that Tennessee Pride?  Well they say pride goes before the Fall ........
